About

My career can be summed up as a continuing effort to frame content in a way that elicits engagement, interest, clarity, and simplicity. For the past 15 or so years, I’ve held senior roles in wealth management firms’ marketing communications divisions. Primarily, I’ve supported chief investment officers and their directs, as well as business lines such as research, structured products, municipals, etc. Additionally, I’ve created and enhanced content for C-suiters, Family Office, sales enablement, wealth planning, private banking, and more.

Prior to my foray into the corporate arena, I held senior editorial and writing posts at magazines—most recently, at a monthly physician-focused practice management publication for subscribers; and earlier, a weekly consumer publication with one million-plus newsstand-only sales. I managed a pool of more than 30 freelance writers (from independent contractors to journalism professors to newspaper staffers) as a features editor until I moved over to personal finance. There, I produced three articles a week, 52 weeks a year. Long before the word “multitasking” became part of our nomenclature, I simultaneously fielded issues that were both closing and in development, while also slating content for future issues—all on aggressive deadlines. This would set my pace going forward.

My career began in earnest at a legal publishing company where I was tasked with distilling the salient points of judicial opinions into a few paragraphs for a loose-leaf service—a skill that would stand me in good stead for years to come.

Creativity is what makes my heart sing. Variety—of substance, style, personalities, voices, and visions—is what makes “work” a misnomer.
